Admin Guide - Dynamic Day-of-Week & Date

The Dynamic Day-of-Week & Date feature allows administrators to configure Inspire Planner to display the day of the week alongside task dates in all Gantt chart date columns. When enabled, dates include the weekday (e.g., Thursday, August 13, 2026), making it easier for project managers and team members to identify the day of the week when reviewing project schedules without referring to a separate calendar.

Required Permissions

You must be a Salesforce System Administrator to complete the steps outlined in this guide as it requires access to Salesforce Setup & Administration.

Set your Preferred Date Display Format

Configure how task dates are displayed in the Gantt chart, including the weekday format.
 

1. In Setup, enter "Custom Settings" in the search box and click Custom Settings.
   
   
    
2. Click Manage beside Inspire Planner Config.
   
   
    
3. Click Edit.
   
   
    
4. Set Display Date Day of Week to either "short" or "long".
   
   Short format will display as Tue, 08/15/2026
   Long format will display as Tuesday, August 15, 2026
   
   Values are case-sensitive and must be entered in lowercase ("short" or "long"). Leaving the setting blank with display the date in the default format without the day of the week (i.e. 08/15/2026).
   
   Click Save to save your changes.
