The Move Sprints feature allows Agile Project users to move existing sprints from one project to another when work needs to be reorganized or managed under a different project. Sprints and their associated tasks can be transferred while maintaining important sprint details, helping teams keep their work structured and aligned with changing project needs. This guide walks you through the steps to move sprints between Agile Projects and highlights key information to consider before completing the move.

This feature will be available with the Inspire Planner JUL 2026 Major Release available in Production environments on August 11, 2026.
To use the Move Sprints feature, you must be assigned the Inspire Planner Standard User - Agile Project Management permission set. Contact your Salesforce administrator if you do not have the required permissions.
Before moving sprints from one Agile Project to another, ensure that the Kanban Statuses configured for the destination Agile Project match those of the source Agile Project. If the Kanban Statuses do not match, the User Stories moved to the destination project will be assigned a status of “No Status”.
This section explains how to move sprints from one Agile Project to another. You will learn how to select the sprints to move, choose the destination project, and complete the transfer.
Start by opening the Agile Project that currently contains the sprints you want to move. Then, navigate to the Backlog to view and manage the project’s sprints.
Locate the sprint you want to move and click the dropdown arrow to the right of the sprint name to view the available options. Select Move Sprint.
Click the X next to the current project to remove it.
Next, search for and select the Agile Project where you want to move the sprints. Click Save to save your changes and complete the move.
