The November 2026 Major Release continues Inspire Planner 2.0. It brings time-saving updates to the Project Gantt, Task Console, Resource Management and the External Portal, for everyone from project managers and team members to the clients and partners you work with - and introduces Template Console, one place to build and version your project templates. Updates are organized by product area, so you can quickly see what changed and who it helps.
These release notes are subject to change until November 23, 2026.

Admins: what to set up
Most of this release is available automatically after the upgrade. These items need an admin:
NEW a new feature | ENHANCEMENT an improvement to an existing feature | BEHAVIOR CHANGE something users will notice without any setup
Share plans more easily and keep your project data clean. The Project Gantt adds export to MS Project, dependent picklists, week and weekday display, and faster PDF export.
Share plans with MS Project users - no reformatting.
The Export icon now offers two formats: CSV and MS Project.
Keep task data clean, right in the Gantt.
The Gantt now follows your Salesforce field dependencies for picklist and multi-select picklist fields - including those controlled by picklists or checkboxes - with no extra Inspire Planner setup.
Plan in calendar weeks if that's how your teams work.
An optional column shows the calendar week number next to task dates - for example, Week 43.
See the weekday at a glance.
An org-wide setting shows the day of the week with every task date in the Schedule - for example, Thursday, August 13, 2026.
Put the actions your team uses most one right-click away.
Admins can add custom actions to the task context menu in the Project Gantt - for example, creating tasks from a set list of options instead of typing them in. Actions are configured in Project Gantt Custom Action Config.
New projects start with your standard settings already in place.
Projects created without a template now inherit these settings from your Global Default Project Settings project:
Get your PDFs faster.
PDF export now uses your browser's built-in print to PDF instead of the previous print service, cutting out processing delays.
Know your export is on its way.
A loading indicator shows while a larger PDF is being generated.
Let your automation keep schedules up to date.
Schedule recalculation - dependencies, constraints, working calendars, critical path and slack - now runs natively in Salesforce, so your project data never leaves the platform.
Build repeatable delivery - and keep it current. Template Console brings every template into one place as a versioned product, so you can improve your standards without disrupting live projects.
See every template, and everything about it, in one place.
Work on the next version while live projects keep running on the current one.
New Version creates a Draft in the familiar schedule builder - nothing reaches a live project while you refine it. Promote makes the Draft active and retires the previous version. Retired versions are never deleted, so every project's origin stays traceable.
Decide who builds, syncs and uses your templates.
Three new permission sets - Template Admin, Template Owner and Template Consumer - control who can manage templates, who can sync, and who can create projects from them.
Improve a template once - and roll the change out to live projects, safely.
Until now, template improvements only reached new projects. Advanced Template Management brings them to the projects already underway - reviewed, classified by safety, and reversible.
Spend less time setting up your view and more time getting work done. Task Console adds saved list views, team views for managers, three new languages, and faster ways to filter, group and log time.
Set up your filters once and come back to them every day.
Create, edit, clone, delete, share and pin your own Task Console views.

See what your team is working on - no report needed.
Based on the Manager field on the Salesforce User record, including inactive users so open work never goes missing. Works with KPI tiles, Due Date grouping, filters, Kanban and Calendar, and appears only for users with direct reports. Available in French, German and Spanish.
Managers see only tasks they already have access to through Salesforce sharing and the role hierarchy.
Focus on what's still open.
Completed tasks are now hidden by default. Turn on Show Completed in the toolbar to see them at any time.
Your teams can work in their own language.
Task Console is fully translated into French, German and Spanish - labels, values such as Status, Priority and Task Health, column names, the tab name and error messages.
Always know what you're looking at.
Active filters appear as chips at the top of Task Console - remove any of them with one click.
Clear out work from projects that are finished or cancelled.
Filter tasks by their project's status - Not Started, In Progress, Delayed, Cancelled or Completed. Project Status is also an optional column you can sort, filter and group by.
Organize different kinds of work at a glance.
Group tasks by Record Type.
Move through long task lists faster.
When tasks are grouped - by Related To, Due Date, Status and more - collapse or expand every group in one click.
Log time in fewer clicks.
A Log Time button now sits at the top of the Time Tracker panel - no more scrolling past fields to find it.
See capacity accurately when your teams work weekends.
Plan weekend work with the full picture.
Resource Utilization now shows allocations on weekends when weekends are working days in the project.
Share the right information with clients and partners - and nothing more. More control over what Inspire Planner - External Portal 2.0 users see.
Give clients and partners the task details they need.
Add read-only columns to the External Portal My Tasks grid by adding fields to the Inspire Planner Portal My Tasks field set on Task. New columns appear before Description, duplicates are excluded, and the standard columns stay in place if the field set isn't available.
Keep internal records internal.
Project managers can mark records on External Portal Custom Object Tabs as Internal Only - hidden from External Portal users, still visible to your team in Salesforce.
Save As now handles Actual Start and Finish dates correctly.
Fixed an issue where actual dates weren't carried over when Default Status was left blank. Actual dates now follow the Default Status you choose:
Equivalent custom statuses follow the same rules.
Save As completes when your Project object has required fields.
Fixed an issue where Save As could fail on required fields. All applicable fields, including custom fields, now copy to the new project.
Projects open normally after a Contact is deleted.
Fixed an error when accessing a project after a Contact was deleted from the org.
Your Task Console layout now stays the way you set it.
Fixed an issue where hiding icon columns (Ready To Start, Chatter, Time Tracking, Checklist and Critical Path) wasn't saved. Preferences now persist per user, as they do in the Project Gantt.
Filtering by assignee now returns the right tasks.
Fixed an issue where the Assigned To filter mixed up tasks assigned to Contacts and Users. Tasks now filter by their actual assignee.
Less unnecessary background processing in your org.
Fixed an issue where Ready to Start Sync Queue records could be created with a blank Process Date when a Finish-to-Start predecessor had no Finish Date. These records never cleared, building up orphaned records and extra asynchronous processing.
Orphaned records are cleaned up automatically.
Parent Rollup Sync Queue records are no longer created for top-level Project Tasks, and existing orphaned records are deleted in the next scheduled batch run. Also fixes incorrect Assignment % Complete values in the Gantt Assignments grid.
Actual Cost rollups now complete reliably, even with large backlogs.
Fixed an issue where ProjectTaskActualCostRollupBatch could fail on Salesforce DML limits. Sync Queue cleanup now runs as a separate job, and batches stay under 10,000 record updates. Actual Cost calculations are unchanged.
